Metallic Noise!

Featured Replies

I suspect I already know the answer BUT!

When I start the car with my foot OFF of the clutch, there is some kind of metalli noise for a few seconds after I start the car, would this be the DMF?

Also, while driving, there is a kind of metallic noise while accelerating. The clutch bites really well and doesnt feel at all bad.

Do I assume I need a new DMF?

Mant thanks

john

I think you hit the nail on the head sadly. you could go for an SMF conversion?

Whats the difference? (Im a bit alien to clutches!)

Single mass flywheel increases vibration a little but it's much more solid and lasts more miles, dual mass flywheels are basically a counter rotation against each other to cancel the vibration but they are weaker and disintegrate much more easily.
