Mk4 Tail Light Removal

Featured Replies

As mentioned before I am looking into carrying out an LED conversion on my stock mk4 pfl tail lights

I think I have 70% sussed out what I need to do to carry it out but first I need to physically remove the tail light parts from the tailgate and the body of the car so I can get a better look at them to suss out if what I intend to do is possible

Could someone with a haynes please check for me how to remove both parts each side?

It's looking like I will have to remove a large part of the tail gate which I don't really fancy doing

Thanks

I appear to have misplaced mine lol, but when I looked at it, I believe you are correct that you need to strip off a lot more than just a couple of unscrews

figured so

a portion of the lights appear to disapear behind the lower section of the tailgate

don't really want to take it apart too much but i suppose i'll have to

gonna be a big job but if i can pull it off it'll be worth it

may have to wait a couple weeks till i get round to purchasing the parts
