Dashboard Limp Mode Problem Mondeo 2005 2.0 Tdci Ghia

Featured Replies

Hi I got a couple of problems with my car, firstly flashing glow plug light (limp mode?) comes on and car has no power sometimes after I stop its normal again but if I put my foot down it comes on again, secondly my dash has disappeared its doing it more often now, batt light, engine management light, glow plug light (not flashing) and red snow light on with dashes across the mileometer and info and speedo, Rev and temp gauge dead. Had the car couple of months fixed the boost pipe and alternator recently. Dash problem before alternator change and limp mode after alternator change.

I know it's an ear full but if anyone has had the same problem or knows a fix please let me know. Any info is much appreciated.

sounds like you have a bad instrument cluster. Probably the connections at the back are not making a good connection. Worth stripping it down, spraying the rear with Electrical Contact cleaner, and ensuring the loom plugs in correctly without issue.
