Can anyone tell me please what this strange thing does on top of the dash of my 2010 mk4 mondeo zetec is and what it does?? post-15750-143291912068_thumb.jpgMy guess is that it's some sort of light or rain sensor but I don't have either auto lights or auto wipers on my car!

I've had the car for a year and half now and have always wondered!!

Ahh I see. So do I assume it adjusts the intensity of the aircon depending on the intensity of the sunlight??

Exactly that.

So unused in England then lol

I always thought that was the light sensor for the lights and a temperature sensor for the air con. Where do those live then?

Temp sensor intergrated in to sun load sensor, auto lights controlled by rain sensor on windscreen
