New Car Protection

Featured Replies

Hi All.

I'm getting a new Mondeo Titanium in September and am wondering what is best for paintwork treatment. I know the dealer will try to sell me DiamondBrite for an exorbitant fee, but I'm considering using a professional detailer instead - for an even more exorbitant fee. LOL

Anyone got any thoughts/comments?

Diamondbrite is good - get it F.O.C. in your deal - I did. :)

If you can stretch to it, get the protection done by a detailer. They will do a much better job than the stealer.

I got Diamondbrite free too plus a bag of goodies(cloths, cleaning sprays etc).

If you can wangle it FOC then you're on a winner.

Carbon Collective do a paint sealant, glass sealant, wheel sealant & a general sealant. these all last for a few years, 12months minimum except the glass on the windscreens. Get it done by an approved detailer

Ford's want £249 for DiamondBrite. I also got a quote from Reflections Detailing for £549, but theirs is a 2-day full treatment inside and out.

Anyone have any suggestions around Hinckley/Leicester area please?

You're almost 3 hours away from us.. but we'd charge between 180-220 for a full new car correction, with paintwork sealed with gtechniq C1 & Exo. Glass and wheels would also be sealed.

Seeing as you're a FOC member ;)

If you wanted the interior cleaning & protecting it would be around another £150. Most places will need the car for more than one day, including us. This is to allow the sealants to cure properly. Incorrect curing can cause huge problems.

Maybe contact Inspired Automotive.. they may be slightly closer to you, but they'll charge ALOT more :)

We don't mind travelling to you but we'd need a garage to work in.. and it'd cost slightly more due to expenses
