Mondeo Mk4 2.0 Tdci Shakes Under Load

Featured Replies

hi I have a 2007 mk4 Mondeo 2.0 tdci and whilst driving in the higher gears or driving up hills. the car shakes quiet a bit. any ideas please.

How do you mean shakes, what sort of engine revs, road speed, gear,?

Shakes under load. If you change up from 3rd to 4th and accelerate at low speed. It shakes the front engine. Same happens from 4th into 5th and 6th. Low speed high loads. Thanks.

Could be an engine mount

Could be driving at too low an engine speed. Could be water in the fuel. Could be excessive bio in the fuel. Could be intermittent electrics. Could be a boost hose separating. Could be a DMF cracking up. Could be loads of things.

A bit of real detail might help (start with how many rpm, how much throttle, does it go away if you select a higher gear, does it improve if you use better fuel, does it go way if you only press the accelerator gently, what fuel do you use, how many miles has the car done, what's its history), but it doesn't look as if we are getting that.

As has been said more info required
