Mondeo 2002 Coil Pack

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Have been searching for over two weeks for a decent coil pack to fit my 2002 mondeo 1.8 lx duratec H E

Contacted Ford , they wanted 160 quid plus 3.60 odd for the extended bolts!

Searched around everywhere on the internet, finally went to one of the local trading estates, found a Ford specialist, explained all to him, he advised me to go buy a Bosch coil pack, NOT the OEM one.

He reckoned the Bosch ones, (as supplied directly to Ford by Bosh), are far more reliable than OEM.

Anyway, fitted it today along with new ht leads and double platinum plugs, a new air filter and hey presto, the stuttering and flat spot have cleared away. The car now runs and drives as a 125 bhp car should, NOT like a bucket of rusty bolts lol.

Having changed all the aforementioned bits, are there any other bits I should change as a matter of course? Just want to make sure I haven't missed any vital bits...

Thanks guys.
