FezzaT
Hiya guys, Picking up my brand new (well, pre registered) Fiesta Titanium 1.4 on Friday (can't wait!) did have a couple of questions though, hoping you guys can help me out: Firstly, I've read a lot about the issue of answering calls using the mode button on the steering wheel - from what I can gather it works for some models but not for others (think someone said it worked for them with a Nokia N95), what's the current general consensus on this? Is it down to your phone model, and does anyone have experience with a blackberry 8310? Did see this on the ford connect website, seems to indicate that "automatic call answering" is not avaialable for my blackberry, not sure if that's refering to using the mode button or not: http://www.ford-mobile-connectivity.com/ov...amp;intro_date= Secondly, when playing MP3's, is the song and artist name displayed from the ID3 tag of the MP3 file or is it just the file name (eg song.mp3)? Cheers fellas (and ladies!)

DNStuff
Awww, not another one! Hey Fezza T. Paul means 'not another guy who's getting his fiesta before I am' I think, so don't read anything bad into that! As for your questions I don't know the answer, but I am in the same position as you with the phone so I would also like to know Welcome :)
slappyhaze
As far as I can tell, it uses the ID3 tag first, but if it cant find one it uses the file name. I have a strange mix of both, and all display correctly. One tip: the lines don't scroll across the screen, so make sure the artist's name is not at the start of the file name, otherwise you'll get a list of artist and no idea of track names!! Thanks Slappyhaze, so does that mean that the name (file name or ID3 tag) is limited by the screen, ie it will not display part of a song title past xx characters? FezzaT
Also this may be of some use to people yet to take delivery of their cars, found an online manual for the new fiesta: http://issuu.com/stalker1971/docs/new_fiesta_manual

Frustraiting bit is that when I ordered it I was told mid to early August for delivery and that it might even arrive in July ("do you want to wait until the new 59 plates come out?") - and I used my old car as deposit so been carless all this time too. Hope it arrives before the autumn sets in - oh hang on, too late!!!! Congratulations to you tho fella - hope to see some nice pics of you new pride and joy once you have taken delivery . . . Suprised you havn't had some form of car to get you around as compensation. I've used my current car as a part ex for the new one, but they don't pick up my old car until I've had delivery/collected the new one. Its good because it means I am not without car, but bad because I'm forever worried the old one will get smashed or damaged, which could cause a delay when it comes round to sorting out the money. I'd be forever on the phone if I were you!
paulworthing
Well as my last car was a Smart For Two convertible they were not taking it in themsevles but shifting straight on to a specialist dealer. They did say that as it was a convertible that the dealer would give about £800 less if it was px'd at the end of the Summer - in addition it needed an MOT and service (so another £250 ish). All seemed to make sense to hand it over at the time but I so miss having a car now. As for always calling them - the dealer keeps re-assuring me that it is Priority 1 and that all the delays are out of their hands - I guess calling them all the time is only going to get me more stressed and then pi**ed off at me! You only got £800 part-ex for a For Two? That doesn't seem like a lot. Granted, I have no concept of how much those cars actually cost but I'd still have thought you'd get a bit more for traded against a new model. Was it an old car? My old car was a Picanto - cheapest of the cheap! Got £2,500 part ex for it with just under 40,000 on the clock.

I think he meant it would lose £800 in value if he left it to trade when the car arrived

FezzaT
Wahooo it's here and it's awesome!! Just been driving around some twisty Derbyshire roads and it's brilliant! Will get pictures up as soon as it stops raining On another note, I can report that the Mode Button call answer seems to be a problem across all Fiesta's and I'm now certain it depends on your phone - it will only hang up calls for my blackberry 8310, not answer them - not a big problem in the grand scheme of things, but I know people were keen to know about that, anyway rest of the car is great and the sun has literally just come out so will get some pics up asap! In hindsight, would you rather have the £800, or the three months with a car? That's £266.67 per month
