Hi guys was just wondering what the sci 1.8 engines are like compared to the pre -sci 1.8 HE engine.

I have a chance of buying this 55 reg mondy with 90,ooo miles on the clock cheap,But was wondering what the piston rings are as bad quality as the 51 reg 1.8 are compard to the later 55 reg.

    If it is the same duratec unit in the later Mk2.5 Focus it is a good solid unit. Mine has nearly 130k and still runs like a dream.
