Mk3 Audio Choices

Featured Replies

looking into where I am going with in car entertainment in my mk3 mondeo, but wanting to see other people's choices for inspiration

Hi fella..what year and model do you have...the first gen mondys from sept 00 to sept 03 had the same stereos as the old mk2 model.from sep 03 the Sony 6 CD with twin cone speakers was fitted (but not lx or zetec) the difference between the old ford oem unit and oem speakers and the Sony unit is the sound quality..I owned a mk2 mondy a few years ago and one of the things I did was replace the ford 5000 tape&CD changer with a 600wat aftermarket, but I've never felt like I need to change my present sony6 CD and twin cone speakers, I'm more than happy with it just as it is..but if you have the older unit then I can't blame you for wanting something a bit more oomph so to speak...at the end of the day its a very subjective thing is the car hi-fi...
