Unknown Noise When Intially Revving In Each Gear

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I've an noise when I rev in any gear but mostly low gears, probably only due to more frequent revving up. Once up to speed, the noise winds off it doesn't come back in that gear. It is slowly happening more and more and the noise is lasting longer.

It has on one occasion cut my engine when I pulled up at a junction but other that I never have performance issues (loss of revs etc)

I've recorded the sound and put up for anyone to listen too - I recorded this from the engine with the bonnet up.

The local garage while doing other work had a visual look above and below and don't see where the noise is coming from.

Hope you can help. Thanks,
