Mondeo Rear Spring

Hi does the rear spring on the 2005 mondeo only fit one way as the passengers side one on my car snappend a few months ago got a replacement took it to a garage to be fitted but since then the new spring has been rubbing against the inner body work of the car.

took it back to the garage and they said its becouse i bought a cheap brand spring (Ansler) so its not a perfect fit i asked if it could have been fitted upside down as the part number is upside down and they said no that happens during manufacturing and its just cos i bought a chaep spring

    I cant remember exactly what the mondeo rear springs look like as its been a while since I last done one but I think they can only be fitted one way. The top of them is more like a pigtail - I know this as it burst on mine and the spring was sitting on the metal plate part of the rear mount rather than in the seat.

    If your ever over the bridge into Fife I would have a look at it for you.
