Wind Like Noise In Back Seat Area. Mondeo Mk 4

When going over 30 mph the wind like noise starts up in the back seat area, the faster i go the noisier it gets, i believe it might be tire noise getting in to the cabin from the flimsy external wheel arch covers, has anybody else on here have or had the same problem. Thanks.
