Hi All.

My first query on here and probably one that has been covered before but I can't seem to find much info. I bought a '10 plate 2.0 tdci Mondeo estate back in July lovely motor with 115,000 on clock, after a couple of months trouble free it suddenly showed up engine malfunction warning, I had a friend who had a reader and I don't remember the exact code (may have been 219f?) I do know that it read something like 'After exhaust treatment glow plug circuit open' Anyway he reset it and I had no further problems but the last couple of weeks it is showing the em warning 3 or 4 times a run. I did try a forced regen holding revs at 2100 for 20 mins but it hasn't made any difference. My question is I can't really afford to get it to a garage until after the Christmas would it be dangerous to run it until then, by the way it is running fine no limp mode or loss of power.

Much appeciated.

best thing you can do, is buy yourself a modified ELM cable, and download FORSCAN. check "my guides" and then "got an error on your car?" (in my signature) for more info. You can do a detailed diagnostic, and provide the feedback and we can see if there is any advice we can offer you.
