Engine Malfunction Light On Mondeo Txs

Featured Replies

Hi guys

can anyone help me with an issue on my 2009 mondeo 2.2tdci txs, running rough and now got malfunction light on dash, codes says its p02e8 diesel intake air flow position sensor circuit low.

cars running very lumpy any ideas. thanks

Could be a dodgy M.A.F. sensor - try removing & clean carefully with electrical contact cleaner, or replace it

What condition is the air filter in ?

I was think the same thing. i replaced the maf sensor a couple of months ago witha cheap one because i thought my original one was shot but it wasnt, so i kept that original, i will put that back in hopefully that may help. would the egr blank cause this issue.

Yes it would, I'd put the original M.A.F. back in.

Unfortunately blanking the EGRV often illuminates the E.M.L. - but it's a small price to pay against the benefits of a blanked EGRV

You're welcome - let us know if the rough running desists - or not

you need to check the intake shutter valve, that code relates to that. as your having running problems it sounds like theres and issue with the valve staying open when engine running, unplug the connector and check for corrosion.

Thanks Ian where am I looking in the engine bay for it as I'm not sure.

At the bottom of the intake manifold, it will have a sensor or 2 fitted on to it, its right in front of you as you look at engine , there will be a connector to with wires for actuation. And position sensing. Pcm needs to know its open when running and shut with ign off.
