Sony Cd Player 2012

Featured Replies

Hello guys.

I have recently bought myself a mondeo, its the titanium x version. 62 plate.

I have been told that it has a 6 cd changer on it, but i am struggling to find out how to use this?

When i try put a cd in when one is in it isnt working, is there somewhere else i should try putting it?

I have attached a image to show what player i have.

Thanks

As far as i know Mondeo TX's & TXS's never came with a 6cd changer as standard - my 2014 MK4.5 doesn't have it & it's the one thing i miss from my old MK3 ST TDCi :(

b t w Hi welcome :)

i am sure youve just got the one disk someone telling porkie

It isn't a 6cd changer head unit as far as i'm aware - looks like you got told wrong

The very good Sony unit that was fitted in the MK3 ST TDCi simply loaded up to 6 cd's into the slot in the head unit & as i previously stated I'm not aware of a 6cd changer in the Mondeo MK 4 / 4.5 TX / TXS as standard fit

I'll happily stand corrected as always.

Mine have them little 1-6 rings at the bottom like the one you have posted pal. What is the difference between mine and that then?

all the radio have the same printed circuit board but they don;t have all the same functions

them little 1-6 ring on yours are probably track numbers

Should there not be a load button if it's the 6 cd version ?

Ah Yea. I see that now on that image.

Thanks guys. Least I can stop trying to jam cds in and wondering why it won't take them.

There are several different versions of the Sony head unit fitted to a range of Fords and they mostly look the same. The 6CD changer has the words "6 CD Changer" printed in silver text to the right of the centre (round) button. See the photo below from my wife's Mk2.5 Focus - it only says "6CD" as I was a little over vigorous with the acrylic cleaner trying to remove the scratches on the face of the unit when we bought the car!
