Strange Noises After Engine Switch Off...?

Featured Replies

my 2010 1.6 TDCI makes the most strange noise when the engine has ben switched off, its like woop whoop whoop whoop whoop (then pauses) whoop...... its rather quiet when it does but it is noticeable, its more a two-toned sound like woop woop but the second one is quieter that the first.

thought it may be, any idea what is is?

electric intake manifold valve. its doing a cleaning cycle so as to not get stuck.

I thought it was the ECU making the noise?

have the same sound! I have no idea what I could be but going through Google they have mentioned I could be to do with the timing belt, it’s going in the garage on Monday for the sound so I am going to see what it is
