Dan-mondeo91
Hi Guys been a while since I've been on. I have had a problem recently with my Mondeo graphite 2.0 TDCi. Yesterday I was slowly approaching a red light (10-15mph) when all of a sudden it turned amber and I went into 2nd gear and put my foot down as it was a 40mph road. But the car remained at 15mph and the rev count went into the red so i changed in to 3rd and the same happened so i tried 4th and still the same problem. So after the embarrassment in changed back to 2nd and slowly accelerated and the car took off at around 2300 rpm. Ive asked a few people what it could be and half say electrical and the other half say its the clutch. Any ideas what it could be on here? Thank you. MONDEO TXS 2.2
Hard to tell from this range, but sounds like a slipping clutch to me too

pragmatix
Independants about £600 I wouldn't use a SMF as it can damage the crankshaft bearings
