Ecu Remap.... Is It Worth It???

Featured Replies

I am thinking about getting an ecu remap from Celtic tuning for my 2014 (old style) Mondeo 2.0l 160 BHP Txs estate as I am getting a caravan and the extra torque will make towing easier on the car and reportedly an increase in the mpg by between 10% and 20%... Cost £360 ... This will up BHP to 201 but more importantly the torque from 251 lbs ft to 310 lbs ft (420 Nm)

What are your thoughts and has anyone on this forum had this or similar done also what was the impact on your insurance?

Thanks in advance for any advice and information .

Alan 👍

I had Superchips's remap on my TXS & the driveability is much improved & if Celtic tuning are as good you'll be glad you did it

Don't rely on the increased m.p.g. figures

I've got the Superchips remap too better driveability and mpg, no increase in my insurance
