Snowflake On Dashbord

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a orange ORANGE snowflake on dashboard when it is below 5degrees now its 0degress And its RED does it mean I need to wait for it to become orange or something ? Because usually I wait 5-10 minutes before driving off

Ice warning.

it will change colour, amber to red as it gets to freezing... anything under 1 and the snowflake turns red. just and alert of the outside temp so be wary of road conditions.

Ah ok then I just came from work and was like red it was always orange amber yes ok then thanks guys

Orange 'snowflake' comes on at 4 degrees C

I have only seen the Orange light once, doubt I will ever see the Red in my part of the world.

Ps. its 9:30 in the morning here and already hitting the low 30's

Was -15 to -20℃ last year in ma fiesta red was permanently on for like 2months haha

Mine doesn't go red. Orange is all I get. I think they modified it as believe folk seen a red light and booked it into a dealer thinking something was wrong.

Noticed mine never goes red below zero. was going to get it booked in. Can any body else confirm the the ice warning doesn't go red anymore

Both mine turn red at & below zero

What age is your car mondeo

Focus is March 2015 & Mondeo is April 2014

2015 titanium x doesn't go red either.

Weird. My fiesta is April 2014.

I think they ditched it on fiesta somewhere in 2014 or missed it from thier software.

Strange even ma mk6 did it :/

Even my 2005 Mondeo ST TDCi did it & so did the 2013 Fiesta ST 2

Engine is about to blow up, take it to a garage asap!

My outdoor temp sensor is broken on mine, apparently it was 16 degrees this morning :D

Mine doesn't turn red either, it was minus 2 the other morning on the way back from work. 2015 Titanium X

My old zetec used to go red and bong as well

It's just a pity we can't ask ford the theory of why they changed it on fiesta.

maybe they save a penny for having to install a red Led?

Mine is red when its below 4 degrees

My neighbours bog standard 63 plate 1.25 Zetec Fiesta has this feature

It's as useful in the winter as the heated screen i.m.o. & a very cool safety feature ( if observed )

Are you saying you can see it's 0 or -2 ?

From the warmth of your car ?

In the dark ?
