No Rear Indicators Possibly My Fault

Featured Replies

So........ I was silly and thought I'd be clever and get some LED indicator bulbs of EBay as I'm a sucker for LED's. (Instantly your all doing that look as if to say "you bought bulbs of eBay and expected them to work?") and ye you would be spot on

I was clearly a class numpty

After they arrived I decided after work i would put them in. Not like it's to difficult. So after work at 6 o'clock in 3 degrees I thought it was a good idea to lie in the boot and put the rear ones in, if I liked them id do the front the next day. After getting annoyed the holders wouldn't go back in as easily as they came out they were done. Put the hazards on, everything was fine and I was pleased. That's about as fare as I got before it all went down hill.

Pulled up at a junction and the indicators were going really fast. Great I though blown one already. Parked up put hazards on, everything was fine. Put one side on, going really fast. So this was lnt going very well. Only a few quid wasted, just take them out and put old ones back in. So that's what I did.......

Now however I do not have any read indicators. The bulbs are fine, but don't do anything, even with wiggling involved. Out of curiosity I took one bulb and compared to the LED ones. The proper bulbs are offset and the LED one aren't.

That probably explains the fast flashing. But what about the fact I have no indicators in the back now. I haven't put the LEDs back in through fear of doing more damage.

Anyone got any ideas how screwed I am?
