SAt Nav theft

Featured Replies

Morning,

I am thinking of buying a Mondeo and it has Sat Nav. I have previosuly had an Audi A4 with Nav and that was stolen.

Are the Sat Nav units in these cars targeted ?? Are they easy to transplant into other ford models.

Thanks for any info, dont want to buy another car and find it broken into as soon as I park it up

Cheers

Mick

Suppose it depends where you are and where you leave the car.

VAG units are more desirable as they will be a direct replacement for units used in Taxis, like Skoda.

I've got the sat nav in mine and it's never been targeted.

If you like the car go for it, if the sat nav makes you feel uneasy go on eBay and buy a standard unit and swap it and fire the sat nav on eBay
