ford mondeo turbo went now no oil pressure :(

Featured Replies

hi there I have a ford mondeo 1.8 diesel tdci 58 plate.

couple weeks ago I was driving back from work and the oil light came on seconds later the car cut out I was towed to a garage where I was told the turbo had gone. so I asked them to repair the vehicle a week later I had a phone call saying the car was ready to collect so I went to collect the car and 9 miles down the road it broke down again. towed back to the same garage for them to tell me there was no oil pressure and the best thing to do is sell the car as it is or put a new engine in has anyone had the same kinda problem

thanks wayne

Sounds to me like they never fixed the real problem - perhaps a failing oil pump.
