Steve1M
Folks, As you know, the folding mirrors whirr away every time you lock/unlock the car. - I dreaded that one day one may fail, and my RH one has just failed!. - I had to force it open so I could get to work safely this morning. - They never did seem to sound very refined, and I suspect that the crude plastic gear train may have stripped a couple of teeth. - Whole mirror unit part #1777010 is £165 incl vat, and will need to transfer all the cosmetic bits over. - Totally unfit for purpose, for a 3 year old car.!!! - - Qu.....has anyone ever managed to source bits to be able to rectify this....maybe just the geartrain, or are they a totally sealed, non-repairable unit?? - Please shout if can help. - I have good mind to epoxy the thing open, (but will then be in trouble if it is clipped by passing car, as it will have no relief) - Many Thanks, Steve
