Gear knob thread size

Hello, 

I've got a mk3 Mondeo (53 reg), 6 speed tdci. I'm looking to get an aftermarket gear knob and wondered if anyone knew the threadsize / pitch for the gear knob?

Also any recommendations for aftermarket knobs?

    Most aftermarket knobs come with different sized inserts and grub screws so shouldn't be a problem.

    I borrowed some calipers. And the thread size is 12mm.

    I didn't actually, probably should have... 

    The reason I didn't was after looking at aftermarket knobs they only give a thread size not a pitch as well, so i assumed it would be alright. Maybe an oversight by myself though.
