Clunky gears

Hi guys. My Mondeo estate is less than 12 months old and has 12,000 miles on the clock. It has very clunky gears, the problem is most obvious putting it into 2nd and 3rd gears, I have to change gear a little slower than I'm used to and when entering 3rd, the gear stick tends to snatch away from me. I've had it back to Evans halshaw twice, first time they adjusted the clutch cable (or so they said), the problem persisted, the 2nd time they said there was not a problem.

Am I the only one with this problem or is it common with fords?
