Freaky
Hi Everyone, This is my first post...so I apologise for jumping in with a question! I recently got a new Fiesta Titanium 1.4, its just over a month old and have driven about 700 miles so far. I have noticed when the engine is cold and turn the ignition key to the second click there is a grinding/rumbling noise. This only happens when the engine is cold, and won't do it again unless I leave it for about an hour and do the same again. I know that there is usually a gentle buzz noise, which all cars seen to do, but am not sure what this grinding/rumbling noise represents?? Being still well under warranty I have taken it to the dealer(which they have had for a week now) and they say it's a "standard" noise. I was wondering if anyone else has this noise, and if so, any idea what it is?? Thanks

Thanks I don't know if petrol cars have one, but my diesel certainly when it's cold, will be louder at a standstill because of the choke, to get the car warmer. Freaky
Thanks Matt, Prehaps I should have made it a little clearer, this happens before I actually start the engine....
