Wiring hook-up.

Featured Replies

I have a 2006 Mondeo Mk. 3 Estate and need to find where to pick-up a permanent live feed  ( if there is one ) plus a live-when-ignition-on at the rear. I would prefer not to have to run wires from the engine compartment through the sills etc,.if this can be avoided.  For many years I have owned only Landrover - family vehicles and these wires are usually provided in the loom.  Thank you,  Jim Hall.

Not sure there is a permanent live to tap in to, the rear wiper is a switched live as is the feed to the interior boot light.

A wiring diagram would show where the permanent live runs to. At a guess I would say there won't be one at the rear

on the MK4, all connectors in the boot are permenant live. As for the ignition live, its mostly controlled by CANBUS, I did the old school way, and tapped into the engine sensors for the 2.0, and ran that wire into the car, and then ran this as a switch to a relay, which then took power from a seperate fused source.
