Jim Hall
I have a 2006 Mondeo Mk. 3 Estate and need to find where to pick-up a permanent live feed ( if there is one ) plus a live-when-ignition-on at the rear. I would prefer not to have to run wires from the engine compartment through the sills etc,.if this can be avoided. For many years I have owned only Landrover - family vehicles and these wires are usually provided in the loom. Thank you, Jim Hall.
Jonro2009
Not sure there is a permanent live to tap in to, the rear wiper is a switched live as is the feed to the interior boot light. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
GMo
A wiring diagram would show where the permanent live runs to. At a guess I would say there won't be one at the rear Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk
jeebowhite
on the MK4, all connectors in the boot are permenant live. As for the ignition live, its mostly controlled by CANBUS, I did the old school way, and tapped into the engine sensors for the 2.0, and ran that wire into the car, and then ran this as a switch to a relay, which then took power from a seperate fused source.
