MK4 Mondeo Titanium grill swap

Featured Replies

Hi all.

I hope someone can give me a piece of advice regarding swapping over the stock grills on my 58 mondeo estate to the honeycomb style of the titanium x sport.

I can seem to find the top grill (link here) but I'm not so sure about the bottom one (link here)as the lip of the titanium x is different from mine.

Also I'm open to other suggestions of other mods that I can to (keeping it subtle)

Looks like the bottom grille is designed to go with the chin strap around the bottom of the bumper, looking at pics on google.

So I'd guess you need that bit too.

Good point. I wonder if it's a whole bumper job or if I can get that as a separate piece...Either way if it turns into a massive job I might just colour code the stock grill to the car or paint it black.

Should be able to get the separate piece I reckon.

That's how it works on the Focus and Fiesta, so can't see them changing the system for the Mondeo.

Certainly looks added on.

I had done this mod on my previous Mondeo.

It it supposed to be installed with new bumper trim to look as from factory.

However I just bought the bottom grill on it's own and it fit in place of the original grill without the bumper trim. The bottom of the grill has a bit of a lip which sticks out but I actually thought it looked well. Never had any issues with it being loose either so in answer to your question yes it should fit without the bumper trim.
