Has anyone tried these window socks on their MkV mondeo (or similar)? If so, what are they like, do they fit ok and do a decent job at blocking out the rays?

They claim to block out the harmful rays and to be universal fit, they also allow you to open the windows with the socks on too allowing good airflow. I have tried the universal generic roller blinds but they either get in the way or are just too small to work from all directions.

    I bought something similar from Palm Automotive Ltd (trading as carshades.co.uk) for my Mk2 Focus Estate, but probably because those are universal and the Palm Automotive are vehicle and model specific, those are fraction of the price  I paid (£70 inc delivery for a set of six shades),

    They fit perfectly in the window spaces, take less than a couple of minutes to install and remove. Like those you can have the windows wound down and not have the airflow restricted.
