kpg
Hi folks. Wrecking my brain trying to find pin layout/numbers for connector C23A. I've had a look at the actual plug/connector but can't see any numbering. Would anyone here have a diagram / photo of the plug and pins numbered accordingly? Thanks in advance. Stoney871
Better off using FoCCus which is pretty much like ELM Config (ticking boxes) whereas Forscan is more about changing hex codes. Sent from my SM-G930F

kpg
I had to use forscan to reset fcdim on ms can Yea see that's where I'm getting confused. I thought initially I could use Foccus for everything but then iantt and a few other sources are saying to use Forscan for resetting the screen. Sent from the pub with a pint in the other hand. TomsFocus
FORScan is free anyway, why not try/use both?
kpg
I could do that but it's the actual steps I need to take to reset the screen is the problem. I'm not too clues on these softwares. iantt
Its straight forward once you have downloaded soft ware, will do screen shots later of where to navigate on both, when im home on pc.

Thanks pal. I'm download the software now to have a browse through on my home laptop. I could probably go ahead and wire the module and reprogramme the screen this weekend. The camera is taking a while longer to be delivered. Sent from the pub with a pint in the other hand.
Stoney871
Use FoCCus to change settings and then use Forscan to reset any DTC that pop up. AFAIK there is no DTC reset function under FoCCus. For Forscan to access mscan and hscan on a mk3 you will most likely need the extended licence. This is free and lasts 2 months, register on the Forscan forum and then apply for the free licence once your registration is verified. kpg
No need for licence, I didnt need it when doing mine. Fair do's 🤔 Sent from my SM-G930F I'll not know for sure until I hook up but have to wait for my elm cable. I should pretty much know straight away. In the case of needing a license for Foccus I can just use Forscan for that bit instead I assume ? Sent from the pub with a pint in the other hand.
