hi

spoke to my dealership today on the situation of my car, sent back with problems, they have had it 2 weeks today ,i only had it 2 days myself, they sent it to another dealers bodyshop, nothing done so on complaining legal action they agreed to order me another car will have to wait again( new build) :(

regards paul

Not sure what problems you've had mate but good on you for pushing it - I'd never accept a faulty new car.

None of my business but what are they doing about the money you parted with for the original car? And what are you driving in the meantime? I wouldn't want to be paying insurance on a car i wasn't driving nor would i want to lose interest on any monies paid earlier for a car they have still not supplied, thereofre a refund should be in order, minus a holding deposit for the replacement car as if it were a totally new order as opposed to a warranty/rejection claim.

If you're in any doubt i'd advise you still pursue legal action but make sure they honour the orginial price and specification and don't try and pass on any cost increases or VAT increase etc.

hi

bodywork problems and electrics locked up, but they said to rectify paint jobs it would look worse so they are returning my car tomorrow for me to use as its mine and insured untill the replacement built and i get to pdi check it myself upon delivery to dealers

told to call in to dealers to sort paperwork as i want it in writing and to pick my reg as i did with this one

If the paintwork and electrics were that bad how did it get pass the quality control?? It should have surely been easy to spot?

And I think it's good you pushed it and good the dealer has ordered a new car. Just remember to be firm and polite as it's not entirely their fault, it should have never left the factory.

For certain faults they will be repaired at the factory, others will be identified for repair at the dealership as it will be easier and cheaper to get it done there than have a load of cars backed up at the factory in some cases.

However, even though this car did leave the factory with these faults, why the hell did the dealer allow it to be be passed on afrter PDI? Sometimes they'll hope that the customer won't be fussy enough to complain rather than remedy a problem they will have full knowledge of. Shocking.

hi

when the car returned to the dealership they sent photo's to ford who said some flaws are acceptable to them and would not warrant the work to be done ,which puts the ownership of the repairs down to the dealership to fund.

What dealership is it mate?

I don't think I have a comment to make on that!!! Some faults are acceptable!!!! Well, glad your getting a new car.
