Mondeo will not start after head gasket change

HI our 2010 ford mondeo 2 litre petrol is driving us to despair. We changed the head gasket as it had blown. Car started fine no problems. We then turned the car off and restarted it again no problems. Third time car refused to start seemed that the battery was flat so we tried jump starting it nothing. It is not attempting to start. Put the battery on charge nothing. Can anyone help as it is driving us insane.partner is close to jacking it in as a bad job
