Mondeo 2015 Intermittant Oil Leak

Featured Replies

Hi guys

Got a 2015 Mondeo 180 and a couple of times in the last month, there's been oil on the drive.

The first time I thought is was a friends old car who had visited as I couldnt see anything underneath mine, but I noticed some again this morning and could see drips hanging from the engine tray.

I'm obviously going to take it to Ford but has anyone had experience if this before?

I had old cars as a kid and normally if you had a leak, it leaked all the time

Thanks

have you had it serviced recently?

Did you get in sorted ?? As mine is doing the same

derek, have you had your car serviced recently?

Yes

i would take it back asap. the garage needs to check the oil filter is tightened correctly , just !Removed! it on by hand is not enough on this engine for some reason, and can leak. failure to have it tightened correctly can result in severe oil leak at first then engine siezing. ( worst case senario)

Thanks I was going to the main dealer tomorrow
