Mondeo Mk3 - Gears engage harder after impact

Featured Replies

Hi all,

As a result of unlucky incident involving an awfully high street curb (well, wasn't exactly a curb, but nevermind that), my Mondeo Mk3 got a bad blow on the frontal part of the chassis, which - as I have later noticed (but not as late as to deem it a coincidence...) - resulted in higher resistance on the gear knob when trying to engage any gear. It feels like I now have to push through a certain point of resistance that was definitely not there before.

Car's been visually inspected on a hoist for damage, with the chassis frontal guard removed, but nothing specific was found. No obvious oil leak.

Any ideas? Please? I really LOATHE any detriments to ergonomics...

Something's obviously been knocked out of alignment, maybe a mount
