TopCat
Can anyone help? I have a focus 2006 2.0 auto and have been hearing what appears to be coming from the front passenger side wheel area, a clicking noise almost like what we use to put on our bike wheel, can't see anything obvious and It gets louder after long journeys. I thought it may be the bearing so changed the hub. No such luck! I am now at a loss - hoping not new gearbox time!
Russ
Have you tried lifting that corner of the car up, removing the wheel and rotating the hub to see if you can hear anything?
TopCat
Yes, I even had it in axle stands, in gear and wheels turning - it is hard to hear at times. I thought it was the bearing - a mission later I took it for a test drive but still the same!

pky
I once couldnt have quite seated the brake pad retaining wire clippymebob after a Pad change and intermittently it'd click click click, then be fine then start again. I thought about it then replaced them and that sorted it. Long shot maybe!
TopCat
Thanks people. Mine seems to get worse after long journeys and it / I can only hear it on de-acceleration.
