Any dvla experts here ?

as you know im waiting for my driving licence back after a long illness and then i can go pick up my fiesta.

When i rang them last week the nice guy on the phone said he would send me a cover note or something, ive never heard of

this so didnt hold much hope, and nothing has come yet, when i reapplied i had to include a new photo of myself for the drivers card as the last one is nearly 10 years old and i had to include a £20 cheque, now the exciting part for me is i check my bank account this morning and the £20 cheque has been cashed by the dvla, hmm does this mean my licence has been done and is on the way, god i hope so

    I presume it will have been processed now that payment has been taken.

    Sometimes government mail systems can take a few days to release the documents, plus another one or two days for delivery, so if it's not with you by a week after the cheque cleared, give them a call to chase it.

    cheers buddy, the note took a week to arrive, it says it gives me permission to drive until my proper licence is returned, let the good times return, lol :D
