Well, here goes, I'm Mike, just stopping by to say hello!

I've just bought my 3rd Ford of my driving career, a 2001 (X) Focus 1.6 LX with near 140000 miles on the clock... Sounds like a lemon doesn't she? I would have agreed with you there, but the old girl just passed its MOT on Friday, with a clean sheet and was sold to me (afterwards) for the princely sum of £375.

Other than a few of the usual faults, key fob not working, central locking activating only if locked / unlocked from the passenger side and indicators that don't self cancel, she seems to be a solid old girl, I'm quite pleased. In fact she feels more solid than the 2006 Peugeot 206 SW that she replaces (and runs better than that car ever did!) that car didn't even reach 80,000 miles before giving up the ghost.

Anyways, hello all, I hope I can glean as much help and advice as I can to keep this old girl on the road for as long as I can!
