A week on.

Ive had the Zetec S for a week now and i have to admit im having a blast, a right laff, fun to drive, overtaking has never been so much fun on these welsh roads.

I think the bluetooth is superb, the sound quality of the stereo is great and the usb function excellent, the only gripe i have so far is that when im travelling over rough surfaces there is a vibration from both front sides somewhere in the trim, im thinking its the platic round the little windows, is there a fix for that?

Really glad i went with the fiesta again.

Nice to hear you're enjoying it!

Just mind when overtaking those valley tractors can get up to some speed B) Good to get feedback on the bluetooth and sound quality too - I'm for a Zetec so hopefully my speakers will be the same as yours!

Me too! I have had mine a week Tuesday past and have had so much fun driving it, only downside is the weather has been awful but I guess it is Winter so can't really expect dry sunny days! Think I have almost covered 1,000 miles in the last week since picking it up - just drove 400 miles yesterday to watch Michael McIntyre and then back again - (absolutely hilarious!). Got a better chance to drive it on dual carriage ways and there is definately more power behind it than my Corsa! Worked out that my MPG is ranging from 30 - 43, which is quite good - not too different from my previous car so that's a bonus. My average driving around is producing about 40 mpg which I think is quite impressive for the type of car!

Glad you are finally getting to enjoy your car! :) Really glad I made the decision to buy the Fiesta - it's such a great car!

ive only managed 200 miles this week lol, trip is at 39mpg,

are you getting any vibration in the panels?

Not that I've noticed, or what I did I thought was coming from the speakers and what was in the side door holders. My brother wasn't impressed to discover yesterday whilst sitting in the back that it doesn't have any rear speakers!! haha. Had read that on here before, but it didn't bother me since I was in the front! ;-)

Can only echo these views... nearly had mine a week and lovin' it!

I didn't think people would give the car so much attention, but filling up today everybody looked quite jealous. :P

Glad we're all having a blast in our ZS's. B)

It seems like quite a common problem, dont know if it depends on which factory the car was built in as some seem to have it and some dont.

The trim which rattles is the door bin in front of the speaker. Somebody on here recommended blue tak which seems to have worked. I wedged some blue tak in the rearward corner of the door bin.

lol it was me that recomended blue tak for rattles, i think the noise is coming from the little windows in the front, the plastic surrounding them?

Yeah i agree, cant believe how many people compliment the car even a year on, especially when its clean.

LOL, i couldnt remember who had recommended it. It seems to have worked, so thanks ;)

Oh right, I had this rattle as well! It is the whole a-pillar trim which wobbles about. After an unsuccessful trip to the dealer, I secured mine onto the window with a small amount of glue/silicon.

Got exactly the same rattle problem as you. Its not too bad so i havent done anything about it yet...

How did you go about doing this? I also have this rattle. Did you take the whole piece off? what silicon/glue did you use? etc etc

I used some shower silicon sealant and epoxy resin. Didnt take the panel off, just put some between the far corner of the panel, window and dash. Not ideal, but that was a year ago and the rattle hasn't returned.

nice one, ill try that, could try some solvent free sticks like s@@t on it too i suppose.

Nice one! Is the sealant/epoxy visible now? Do you think that maybe a few well placed squirts of loctite superglue might do the same job?

You only get speakers in the rear when you specify the USB/Bluetooth option.

The titanium also gets rear speakers as standard.

Otherwise you have to make do with the 4 front speakers.
