Hastings car insurance reviews?

Featured Replies

er , aren't you supposed to be upholding the law or something ?  ;-)
but yeah , car insurers are just as bent as costa del sol timeshare , so play them at their own game i say  :-)

I know insurance is bent like anyone else but also know it is a legal requirement.
However you do have the right to not incriminate yourself.

Im detecting a forum humour failure here........

I might be guilty of that @biff55 but in my defence it was late when I wrote that and I'm a miserable bugger at night [emoji6]

I wasn't lecturing anyone, I even said that I'm sure you were joking. If you took offence to my post then I'm sorry you read it that way, that wasn't the way it was intended.

I'll try and get an early night tonight [emoji6]easier said than done with a 6month old daughter who thinks going to bed at 8 then getting up again at 11 to play with daddy is ok. Little monster.

On the subject of babies I had no idea having a child, in a lot of cases puts your car insurance up. Something about increased distraction in the car means increased risk on the road. Any truth in that?

its possible but unlikely as I've never seen a policy declaration that lists number or age of children , usually they just ask if you are married or single etc.

to do so would be skirting on the wrong side of discrimination laws in my opinion

and trying to base insurance risk on what passengers you may or may not carry at any given time is too big a variable and wholly impractical

Switched to Hasting last year as E-choice said they no longer wished to insure drivers and suggested More-Than which were WAY more than .. Hasting gave a a great quote.  so i'm super happy but I expect the bump up in price as most insurance co's seem to do which i can not fathom.

Hope Hastings works for you.

Well my mum who sorts out the insurance each year has managed to get mine down to £508!

That's with Admirals multi car policy, over the moon!!
