Mk7 fiesta...noticed couple things today...

Featured Replies

Firstly, at the test centre today (pupil taking test), left her in waiting room, went to the loo, said I be back in 2min....came out, gone, so I thought AH, examiners out early, went to look if they had left and there was my blonde pupil waving me over, so I goes over...and she hasnt but locked the ruddy keys in the car!!!!

She pressed the button to open the boot (not doors), got whatever she wanted out, then shut boot with keys in...all locked now!!

Doh!!! Anyway, GT had a spare car so I legged it down the road to get a car for her to do her test!! But thought to warn ya'll of that...always keep keys in pocket once car opened unless you gona drive it!!!

Now, cleaning ZS today, noticed couple things...first the bad gap which is rather shoddy to be honest compared to the rest of the car, under the rear light clusters....

I try not to use the boot unlock just in-case of a scenario like this, I'll have a look at the gap under the lights tomorrow when I drive to work, how you finding the car?

brilliant, abso fabo, looks the best a car ever has clean and shinny on my drive (of the ones I have owned!).

It handles great and I love that as soon as I sit in me phone connects up to the stereo, love it, voice control is ok, taking a while to remember the shortcuts!!

MPG has steadied at 47 average, but it only done 320miles, which is nothing really, plenty time for the engine to bed in!!

Drove a 05 plate corse diesel today...oh my goodness, what a pile of crap!!! AWFUL! SO went for the right car!!!

Piggy :) :) :)

PS also found out that ST fiesta brakes, Focus brakes and the mondeo would all fit on the mk7, so could even get some 300mm off a Mondeo, nice!!

Just seeing if the Fiesta ST shockers would work, thats the only thing failing the car, shockers arent quick enough...so I will imagine that they be even worse on the Eibach springs!!

That arrangement at the front is only on cars with the body kit fitted - so ZS and Dressed Up Titaniums - mines the same

Think one covers the towing eye screwthread thingyand the other is just a mirror image of it They're probably so big and thick to meet the newish pedestrian impact regs - so they have to be that big to cover lumps of metal behind them.....possibly.

none taken.. i think its partly the picture that makes it look lumpy.

yeah i figured.. mine doesnt have the dress up kit on... proper old mans titanium

If you have keyless fitted, and leave the keys anywhere in the car - it won't lock - problem solved

The gap under your light clusters - be careful, alexafc had this and was given this as the reason why his boot was leaking...

Yes that one had me stumped the other day, I had got something out of the back of the car and the boot wouldn't shut it just kept popping open and i couldn't get it to shut no matter what. I had to resort to reading the manual and realising i had been holding the remote (not something you end up doing much with keyless) absently put it down as i searched the boot and then forgot I had it. Definately a senior moment like getting upstairs and having no idea why? Seems to happen more often these days.

Keyless – do you mean cars with the engine start button?

I have a titanium model with the normal key start but it simply will not lock the boot if the keys are in it - I thought this was a general thing with the fiesta?

–Piggy might be a cheaper mod than going completely keyless?

what mod?!?

what mod?!?

If the titanium models all have the fail safe system on the boot (like mine) it might be a simpler possible upgrade than fitting a keyless system ??
