Misted windows

Featured Replies

When someone writes on your car windows and you rub it out, how long does it take for the window to be properly clear again when it re-mists up?

Cheers, had a few problems with the misting in my last car so now with a new car just wondering. Ta.

Easy - don't let them mist up in the first place!

As for letting people write on them - is your car a taxi?

Make sure you have the air-recirculation switch/button set to open - otherwise this will guarantee misted windows

Set the airflow to the windscreen and face on rainy/damp days. Try a warmer setting too. This will minimise misting.

Ta mate but what I'm wondering is if someone has written a name on the window, how is it possible to make sure the names don't come up when the windows re-mist?

Clean the windows :P someone written something on your window that you're tryna hide?

;)

If I clean them on the inside, will it stop the name re-appearing when it re-mists? Better off not letting anyone in my car in future I think.

Am I missing something here?

What the hell did they write with, a Dremel?

lol!

its the grease from the finger that is difficult to remove...even glass cleaner may look like its gone, but when it fogs up, it returns...best thing is as hot water as your hands can stand, fairy liquid, and a soft cloth, give it a good clean, dry off with paper towel, then once dry, clean again with glass cleaner...should go then! :)

A/C is also quite handy for clearing fogged up windows as it helps remove the damp in the air! :)

Cheers, you're a star.

Keep some of those little moisture bags you get with new trainers kicking about in the back of the car ;)

And if its really bad, try some scrunched up newspaper.
