BOOT LIGHT!

Featured Replies

Mk.7 car boot lighting is poor. What I need is brightest possible W5W fitment bulb. Don't mind if it's filament bulb or LED, but preferebly either white or blue tinge, must be really bright!

I know a lot of you guys seem to have extensive knowledge and experience of lighting mods, so I want your advice please :)

What is the brightest w5w out there?

i have this one covered chief 2sec's and i'll get you the link

That looks the business!

Comes in a pack of two though, so I could use the other one in the cabin light (not the map lights). Notice that the cabin light is referred to as a "w6w". Would I be right in saying that is the same fitment as a w5w? with the difference being that the cabin light is 6 watt?

you are spot on jonny boy, i have one in the boot and one in the centre light with two reds either side. not sure why they call it a w6w in the manual but this one will do you just fine lad.

Excellent bigjock, you're a star! What's the service like from the seller on that link?

bigjock says he's a "good ain" and he's a local down in sunny bristol!

Yeah, only one light. Think he has run cable to fit the other light. Does look nice but it's a bit ott for my requirements, only after a bulb change over ;)

Like eagle said, have you posted any pics of your lighting mods?

Cable is hidden under rubber seal (yellow line), it took me about half an hour to get it work. Only problem is that I had to cut the wires, hopefully it won`t cause problems with warranty. The light is really bright (48 LED`s), but this is what I wanted, see clearly what I have there.
