My sunday afternoon expedition

Featured Replies

It's cold, icy and i have little petrol.

So i decided to drive around the country lanes looking for some good spots to take some pictures whilst it looked so pretty outside.

So in between dodging Massey Fergusons, Land Rover Defenders (and a Ford Escort) i took these, enjoy.

Thanks! i like that one too, some nice straight bits of country lane around me!

i didn't realise all these roads were within 1/2 mile from my house

It was quite nice! just pootling along at about 15mph searching for spots to stop the car and get out.

Pootling is a great word! :)

Nice pics B)

Have you got a Fiesta badge off a later model on the back?

Looks like you might need some mudflaps ;)

A gold star for you! It's the Fiesta badge off a MK6, i never liked the MK4 badges!

Mudflaps would make it boring! The car is extremely filthy however...

Believe me, i find any excuse to get out of this village!!

I've never driven in the direction of those lanes before though, it's where all the farms are and there they aren't a direct route to anywhere, just links up all the fields to all the farms and then just circles around :)

+1 on the opinion that you need to get out more! :P (walk, cycle, not just drive!!)

Like the mk6 badge - i didn't notice that first off

Have to say that i like your car the way it is Mike - it's understated and classy! Just needs a REAL good clean lol

What other plans you got for it? I won't make any suggestions, but i'll tell you if i think your ideas are good or not ;)

I do get out!! I have a Tilly that gets walked twice a day and that gets me out!!

The car does need a haul over on the cleaning front. Going to leave it a couple of months, well, actually, if it's alright weather before the meet on the 31st then it will get a proper clean, living on country lanes means once you clean it it only stays clean if you keep it where it is!

Thankyou for you view on the car - i quite like it too!! My other plans are to eventually get my alloys on it. I bought some 14" KA alloys and i'm in the very slow process of doing them up. Also i want to find a silver Zetec spec spoiler and put that on, and then eventually get some new seats from a MK5 maybe, the seats in mine are grotty!

Nothing major and nothing performance-wise, just little cosmetic things :)

Nice pics

I have been planning getting out to do similar but i can never find good spots :(

One of the limited joys of living in the countryside!

I really want to take some photos of my fiesta up the local hill for the amazing views. Of course... it's up a hill...
