need abit of help

Featured Replies

as some of you might already know, my cars had a fair few problems, 8 to be exact since i bought it 4 months ago. since then, its been back to ford again and again and they still havent managed to fix most of them. just been to pick it up and the problems are still there!

as you can imagine i wasn't very happy so had a rant at the service and financial manager because i'm sick of the car and the poor service from the dealership. i basically told them that i wasnt happy with the car anymore and either wanted a replacement or to terminate my finance agreement, to which they replyed this isnt possible. surely this isn't true?

just wondering if anyone else has done or been through anything like this before? and where do i stand?

any help or advice would be great

Why would they give you your money back, when by your own admission you smashed the car into the kerb and damaged the tracking and steering.

I take it from your sudden desire to return the car, your plan to blame all the damaged you caused ,which you were then hoping to get repaired for free under warranty didnt work!!

You could leave the car and walk away from the deal.

But you must inform the finance company what you have done

and next time you apply for a loan you would find your credit rating will have a serious black mark against it and getting a loan from almost anywhere may be difficult.

Sorry mate but not quite so simple:

If its on options ,you have to see out the contract,or negotiate an early termination,

If its on HP you have to pay half the payments due, then you can return it,

If its a bank loan or finance loan you can leave it anywhere you want but you are still liable for the full amount owed, plus interest.

In short you cant walk away from the deal.

Dave -

Whilst you’re correct in what you say – so am I.

I’m pointing out that it doesn’t end with walking out the door, if you refuse to continue with the contract there is always a payback.

So where do I stand with regards to asking for a replacement car? I'm sure I remember Reading somewere that if the car isn't sold as described then you have the right to demand a

replacement? Got to ring the service manager in the morning, again, to discuss. Really don't feel that I like the car anymore, seems to be spending more time in the garage, leaving me

without a car to get to and from work. Thanks for the advice fellas

Other than smacking it into a kerb Ben - what other problems have you had exactly???

The keen incident was my fault and I replaced the arm

myself, that has nothing to do with this incident. It went in to get a new rear wheel bearing, a new cd player, new parcel shelf clip, Bluetooth update, ecu update, rattle from passenger side a pillar, there was more but can't think at the moment. The only

thing they have done is replace the boot clip and the cars been in 3 times for all these problems. Everytime I pick the car up they tell me all the problems are sorted, which they clearly arnt.

Today when I picked her up, the stereo trim was hanging off and non of te interior lights worked! Where

exactly do they get these monkeys who fix our cars from?

, a new cd player, new parcel shelf clip, Bluetooth update, ecu update, rattle from passenger side a pillar, there was more but can't think at the moment.

So you have a bit of an issue with the radio unit and a back shelf clip is missing,

The other "faults " cant be too serious if you cant remember them!

If the car is on HP, Ford Credit (or other finance company) are the legal owners of the car and as such you can write to the finance company with your views and claim that the car is not of merchantable quality. I have however dealt with these types of disputes in the past and I don't think you will get anywhere with it.

WWW.WEBUYANYCAR.COM !!!

They buy any car ^^ sell it and pay off the finance.
