Led Daytime running lights

Featured Replies

I know people on here probably going to have a moan about them like but i thought be good to fit them with all thats been said about making roads safer... but does anyone have a clue how to wire them up to a mk7??? The cable on my sidelights or the adapter is !Removed! cos no bulb is working in it so the sooner the better :)

thanks

I've been looking at these too. Go here and click on "Philips LED Daytime Lights installation guide (download)" on the right hand side. There are full instructions in the PDF. You can buy these proper Philips DRL's from powerbulbs.com amongst other places. Keep us posted on your progress with this as I might give them a go some time soon....

Also, do you know if installing these will invalidate your warranty? (I hope not :) )

GL ALL!!!

i dont see how it would cos at worse you can just take them off? i got my car through a private dealer so i dont really have a ford warranty as such and thats whats naffed me off with the sidelights cos i bin and they said it will cost too check it up

I agree and would like to fit them too, as long as they don't look a bodge or chavvy. I'm mainly thinking about the EC legislation from 2011 (meaning all mass production cars must have DRLs) which will make my car look old and naff. :(

the front left one wont turn on, :( the front right one is okay and all and i tried about 8 different bulbs and still no luck, but if i get these LED's on i just take them out so it don't look dodgy :)

I think (but I aint sure) that Ford are feeding you BS.

As far as I am aware the electrics are covered for the full three years of the warranty. It doesnt matter where you bought it from, you can take to any Ford dealership for warranty repair. Warranty repair will also be free of charge.

If its that bad then take your custom elsewhere, your warranty is valid at any Ford dealership. Have you got another dealership in Warrington?
