Strange noises o_O

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I changed the clutch plate, pressure plate and Slave cyclinder on my X Reg fiesta yesterday to save a bit of money =P. I'm a bit of a novice, and this was my first time changing a clutch lol.

It's all back together, everything connected and working etc. The only thing i've got left to do is put in gear oil as it leaked all over the floor during the clutch change =[. It drives okay, but low in the revs, in every gear, theres a sorta weird grinding/heavy rattling noise which stops when you hit about 2000 revs. It only happens when the car is moving, and not when stationary, even if you rev the engine.

Also in fifth gear theres a high pitched whirring sound that gets higher pitched as the revs increase. Im assuming this is something to do with the gearbox o_O

Alsooo! The biting point is pretty much right in the footwell. Does this mean the Slave cyclinder needs bleeding because I did forget to do that? =[

Can anybody help? xD

Thanks

Pete
