Sold my Focus ST a few months ago . (after 3 .5 yrs )

Had the ST from new, and can honestly say "great car , great sound, great all round car ". I sold the car because of various issues,

So I decided for cheaper running costs, I would buy the Fiesta Z S (in white,) due any day.

Just wanted to know if any one on this site has gone from an ST - Fiesta Z S , and how have they found it.

Love the Looks of the Fiesta, and have gone for a few options so looking forward to it arriving.

Hi there, I have done the same as you. Had an electric orange ST2 with dreamscience which I bought new and had for just under 2 years. I am having major problems with my back which mean I could no longer drive or even be a passenger in it because of the seats.

Bought a Frozen White Fiesta Titanium (not a fan of all the black plastic on the Z S) with red individual pack, 17" alloys, Bluetooth, Full Dressup Kit. I find the car obviously not in the same league speed wise, but the handling of the Fiesta is superb and feels nice and light (the ST always felt a bit nose heavy). Interior is a much nicer place to sit, and with the dressup kit, looks great too.

Don't think you will be dissapointed as long as you can handle the lower acceleration rate.

I love mine and don't regret dumping the ST in any way, although i'm 38 and had many hi performance Fords over the years, so have a sort of been their, done that attitude these days ....

Hi Smiggy, welcome to the club.

I too made this move ('57 EO Focus ST-2 to FW '59 Fiesta ZS) and can honestly say that I wish I was still in an ST.

Don't get me wrong, the Fiesta is a fine car and I agree with Queeg that it does handle slightly better than the ST (Mostly because the ST was so nose-heavy and the Fiesta has an overall weight advantage.) but I would rather be in the Focus any day.

I had a Focus ST and tbh i dont miss it one bit, the standard car was nothing special but have to admit once dreamscience was installed it was reat fun, but the running costs were just way too high, tyres, tax and fuel were shocking, Just love the Zetec S, great Fun

Good choice, I'd myself like to go upto a Focus ST in 3 years when I change mine, but the costs especially with the rising fuel will no doubt make it a no for me

As for the Z S, I love mine, like yours in white. As for the plasticy bits, personally I love mine, cant stand the chromey bits, which I made the mistake of adding to my last car (MK6) but opinions on here are divided
