Evening bigjock. I think that something like this has been mentioned before. Apparantly on the 5-door it's even worse and Ford did a recall to install some special stone chip protectors :)

ah was hoping to start another ford hate thread but if its been done already i'll look for something else lol! anyone take part in this recall if so did it work / is it ongoing?

Theres a thread about it somewhere, maybe 2 or 3 months back. The fix was some sticky-backed-clingfilm to go around the rear edge of the back door sills.

Personally I recommend the official Ford branded mudflaps. They are the best ever. In fact, if I had a choice between the flaps or the car it would be the flaps first every time...

maybe not, but they're still good none the less :) (go buy some)

Here is the other thread. There are some pics of the fix in there too.

100 cans of Super T? You'll only have to go without for a couple of days then bigjock! Maybe substitute with some meths to tide you over :)

cheers for that jonny, interesting thread. not sure i like the look of the fix so will have to opt for the flaps instead lol
