Looking into some kind of rubber or sponge mat to go on the panel just below the sync screen, used it today to set it to connect to my phones WiFi and it started hurting my wrist!

I think I have the appropriate one left over from a set of 'gate slot mats' for the mk3.5. 

I've taken the ones that fit my mk3 bit think this one was one of the leftover ones. I'll dig it out, photo it and measure it for you if you like to see if it's right?

If you eBay "gate slot mats" you should see sets from China to see what I'm talking about.

Just what I was looking at. Gonna Measure the area when I’m next out.

Version 3 as far as I know. With a wallpaper I added myself 

Nice. The wallpaper option. Is that only via manipulation on pc or is it a feature of 3.0 ?

It’s in the settings. You just upload an image to a usb stick and plug it in, go into settings then display then edit wallpaper. Add the image from usb

Yeah I’ll take them off you. 

Pm me your address and I'll send them over. I think these are all mk3.5 specific as I couldn't find places for them in my mk3. I just put all the door cubby ones in.

I was wondering why the original pic in thread had 2 temps showing then seen the bit at bottom saying climate.

 

How come US (I presume) sync allows climate on touchscreen and/ or voice control and UK models don't ?

What model is it ?

Sync2 euro spec iirc had climate on screen & voice control as standard.
Sync3 euro spec doesn't but can easily be activated using Forscan.

i don’t know what you mean. My car has always had that touch screen set up. I’ve updated it myself as the dealer are playing dumb but it has that same layout when I got it. I’ve added a few different wallpapers myself. 

Just you can control your heating through it. I can't do that, that's all.

Ah right. I thought it was standard on all sync 2 systems. 

Fyi, connecting your Sync 2 to your phone wifi is totally pointless unless you plan on using Sync 2 as a wifi repeater. There are no functions available that require an internet connection on Sync 2 as far as I know.
